1. ABOUT FORMLY

Formly is a mobile application designed for Pilates instructors to build class plans, manage clients and studios, track class history, and connect with other instructors. Formly is operated by Katherine Wallace / FORMLY PILATES, referred to as "we," "us," or "Formly" in these terms. By creating an account or using Formly, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy below.

2. WHO CAN USE FORMLY

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Formly account. Formly is intended for use by Pilates instructors and fitness professionals managing their own teaching practice.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at info@formlypilates.com.au as soon as possible.

4. YOUR CONTENT

You retain ownership of the class plans, exercises, client notes, and othercontent you create in Formly ("Your Content"). By sharing a plan to the Discover community feature, you grant other Formly users a license to view and save that plan for their own use within the app. You can stop sharing a plan at any time, which removes it from Discover going forward. You're responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any content you create, including client notes. Don't include sensitive client information beyond what's reasonably necessary for planning their sessions.

5. COMMUNITY FEATURES

Formly includes social features — following other instructors, sharing plans, and liking or saving plans shared by others. Your profile name and shared content may be visible to other Formly users unless you adjust your profile to private in Account Details. Be respectful of other instructors and their work; don't copy and re-share others' plans as your own outside the app's intended save/use functionality.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

Don't use Formly to:

  • Share content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes on others' rights

  • Attempt to access another user's account or data

  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app's normal operation

8. TERMINATION

You can stop using Formly and request account deletion at any time by emailing info@formlypilates.com.au. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. DISCLAIMERS

Formly is a planning and organisational tool for fitness instructors. It does not provide medical advice, and instructors remain solely responsible for the safety and suitability of the exercises and modifications they choose for their own clients. Formly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FORMLY PILATES is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Formly.

11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Formly after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

PRIVACY POLICY

1. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo (if you add one), collected when you sign up with email/password or with Google Sign-In.

Content you create: class plans, exercises, custom exercise entries, client names and notes, studio details, scheduled classes, and class history (including session notes you add in Teaching Mode). Usage and app data: information automatically generated as you use the app, such as which plans you've saved or liked, who you follow, and your onboarding/subscription status.

We do not collect location data, payment card details (these are handled directly by Apple/Google's billing systems, not stored by Formly), or contacts from your device.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain your account and the features you use

  • Sync your plans and data across your devices

  • Power community features like Discover, following, and sharing

  • Respond to support requests and bug reports

  • Improve and maintain the app

3. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. We share data only with the service providers that make Formly work:

  • Supabase, our database and authentication provider, which securely stores your account and app data

  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google Sign-In

We do not share your data with any other third party.

4. CLIENT INFORMATION YOU ENTER

If you add client names or notes within Formly (for example, in the Clients section or class notes), you are responsible for that information as the data controller of your own client relationships. We store this data securely on your behalf but do not access or use it for any purpose other than providing the app to you. Please ensure you have an appropriate basis (such as your client's consent) for recording any notes about them, particularly anything related to their health or physical condition.

5. PUBLIC AND SHARED INFORMATION

If your profile is set to public (the default), your name and any plans you choose to share to the Discover community feature will be visible to other Formly users. You can change your profile to private at any time in Account Details, and you can stop sharing any plan at any time.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email info@formlypilates.com.au and we will process your request within a reasonable time.

7. DATA SECURITY

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted storage and access controls (Row Level Security) that ensure your data is only accessible by you, except where you've explicitly chosen to share it (such as public profiles or shared plans).

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Formly is not directed at or intended for use by children under 18.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@formlypilates.com.au

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
